About Maze
Mazes are one of the best thinking games for all ages. A hungry little mouse is waiting at the start of the maze and a piece of cheese is waiting at the end. Your job is to find the right path between the walls and get the mouse to the cheese without getting lost.
Every game builds a completely new maze, so there is no route to memorise: you have to look ahead and plan. The first level is small and easy, and the mazes slowly grow into big puzzles full of corridors and tricky dead ends. The mouse leaves a faint trail behind it, so you can see where you have already been.
Maze puzzles build planning, spatial thinking and patience, and they teach a great lesson: taking a wrong turn is fine, just go back and try another way. The game is free, plays online in the browser on computers, phones and tablets, and your highest level is saved on your device.
How to play
- Press Start to open the first maze.
- Move the mouse with the arrow keys, by swiping, or by tapping the square next to it.
- Look for the open path between the purple walls.
- If you hit a dead end, go back and try a different corridor.
- Get the mouse to the cheese to move on to the next, bigger maze.

Tips to win
- Before you move, trace the path backwards from the cheese to the mouse with your eyes; sometimes the way shows up faster.
- The light orange trail shows where you have already walked, so you don't go round in circles.
- On a phone, one swipe makes the mouse run all the way to the next turn, which saves lots of time in big mazes.
